I am starting my Christmas Shopping and I want to get several people some cool bullion coins and rounds. My boss likes trains and I found one for him. I have young nieces and nephews that want Disney coins and a girl friend and 4 other nieces and nephews to get coins for. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks Chris, I got a glance of what they have and some great stuff there. They had some religious ones that I was looking for.
Thought of getting my daughter an Elsa (Disney) silver coin from the NZ mint. But not for $80-90. She did get a 2013 ASE from my in-laws for Christmas the year she was born (I got one from them also). I love the idea of giving current- or birth-year ASE as Christmas gifts. Nothing like a big shiny silver dollar to hold in your hand.
A friend of mine lent me her textbook (saved me like $150) so to thank her I picked up a Canadian Orca 1oz. and gave it to her. She loves the whales and it was just a way to say thanks.
I gave my nephew an ASE for Christmas once in the late 80's. The next year he asked that I give him cash instead so that he wouldn't have to trouble himself trading another ASE for a baseball card. I gave him nothing instead, or since. Hey, how'd that baseball card work out?
I was pleasantly surprised how nice this bullion looks in-hand: Widely available, so shop for best price.
Perth Mint has a truckload of Disney Proof coins. But they're not bullion. And not cheap: http://www.perthmint.com.au/catalogue/latest-themed-coins.aspx http://www.perthmint.com.au/images/...cinderella-2015-silver-proof-coin-reverse.jpg
