to illini420: why your spouses gold capsules contained two sizes?. are they different or maybe because of distant?. it look like the top eight are smaller capsules.

 

They changed the capsule size starting with the 2008 spouses to a larger size. This upset quite a few folks who bought the additional boxes which held 4 spouse coins each as they no longer held all of the coins. The Mint quickly pulled those boxes from their available inventory as a result.

 

thanks. i like the larger capsules. because the larger capsules were widely use by the mint. like all the modern commemorative. another things is that did you miss some of the spouses gold. right now they issue 10 proof and 10 unc. total obverse and reverse should be 40 in order to be complete. right?. well. i use that picture for my computer desktop background.

 

Right, there are now 10 spouses that have been released, 6 are no longer available from the Mint. So buying one each in unc and proof should give me 20 if I had them all. But I've only bought the first 8 so far, haven't purchased any of the 2009s yet. So I have 16 coins (2007-2008). But I also bought an extra unc and proof of each of the Jefferson's Liberty, Jackson's Liberty and Van Buren's Liberty (so that's the extra 6 to get me to 22 total).

I've only bought a 10oz silver bar since my last post

 

I only added those 2 half ounce plats. and 1 ounce pamp gold as well as 2 10 gram pamp gold bars

 

That's more gold than I own because I own 0 ozs :smile

instead of buying rectangular bar for gold. i rather buy round gold like am eagle or buffalo.
