Shouldn't there be MLK day deals on the big bullion sites?

I see nothing. There are a lot of African American commemoratives. Which bullion coins are the most appropriate for Martin Luther King Day?

Too soon man. President's day is fine to have sales, since one, its not one man, and two, no one is alive when he was. A large percentage of Americans were alive when MLK was assassinated. It would be really classless, (though that doesn't tend to stop Americans, look at Kardashians), to have a remembrance day be associated with shopping.

I'd love it if you were right, but:

50 Major Sales to Shop During MLK Day Weekend

All the best deals and sales happening this Martin Luther King Day

When a large number of people have the day off work/school, businesses find a way to respond.

There are limits to what Americans in general will put up with, though.

It was my understanding that it's now expected. Sigh.

I think this particular bar had already landed on the ground with Memorial Day sales, though.

I don’t understand this “deals on bullion” concept that you write about. Does such a notion even exist? I’m thinking we will see Bigfoot proven before we do a decent price on silver.

Yeah, as a combat vet, I am sure glad everyone tries to buy cheap crap on a holiday meant to reflect on those who died to protect us. :(

I am kind of "over" US materialism. I know, "but Chris, you buy so many coins", but those are for a specific hobby. I am talking about the 45 different kitchen appliances we own, (most gifts). The forced commercialism of Christmas destroying the intent of the holiday. I just wish we commemorated the event, used the day to truly think introspectively. I know, wishful thinking.

Sorry to hijack your thread OP. I will stop posting on it now. :(

They have found some micro-meteorites in the earth that are 3 or more billion years older than the oldest zircon on earth, indicating that likely life in the universe has been around for much longer elsewhere than that on earth/solar system. Wonder if they destroyed each other like we will probably do one way or another, or just put up large unseen barriers to keep us within the solar system.Or perhaps will someday enslave us or even munch on us while watching the Astrobowl.
