May well be authentic, but what a shaky provenance and history! For a potential buyer, that lack of a well-defined chain of ownership or title might (and probably ought to) be of some concern.

 

Kinda weird... it weighs 1100 oz,, assuming that's 1000 troy ounces why would they think something bringing so much collector value would sell for below spot. ($15-$20K)
