You can see the write-up here: http://www.dc-coin.com/coloradogold...eergold1troyoz999satinfinish-1-1-1-2-2-1.aspx "Augustus Saint-Gaudens' original sketch for his iconic Double Eagle design featured a Winged Liberty figure holding a shield. Using as much of the sculpture as possible from an actual coin, the relief was increased and wings and shield were added by Daniel Carr. This concept shows what the original version might have looked like if carried to fruition."
What's happening with these coins is....they are dragged UPWARD in price by the real coins which cost thousands of dollars. People just want the image and will pay 1/10th the price for silver.
I had to go back to my entry: It says: Saint-Gaudens, Commemorative, National Park Foundation, Winged Liberty, High Relief, One Ounce Silver Proof, GEM PROOF (MS65), NGC: 4390509-152. I had it hidden in my Foreign Coins spreadsheet. I have a bunch of Canadian Silver and Dutch and others that are silver and most are graded by NGC PF70.
