Oh, but grains give you celiac while fruits and vegetables give you listeria, Salmonella, etc. and that excludes the many poisons in them

You're either being obtuse or ignorant. Soda is poison.

Just a few example - oxalic acid, cyanide, glycoalkaloid, urushiol, etc.

Ok, still have not smoked or chewed! I stopped all nicotine replacement (patches and gum) a week ago too. January 20th will be one month, but I need to take it one day at a time. My girlfriend and I bought a little junk silver this weekend to celebrate. She quit the same day as me.

Still have not smoked or chewed! December 20th 2016 is still my quit day. No gum or patches for 2 weeks now too. Celebrated by buying bullion. Tonight has been a rough one so far really thinking about it. I'm usually with my girlfriend but not tonight.

If you got this far, you got it beat. It gets easier with time. Soon you won't think about it at all.

Yeah, made it through the night without doing anything. Don't know why at 43 days it got that bad.

It's a head game from here on in. Just don't take that first false step. You've got a supportive girlfriend and a lot to not smoke for. Get out carrots, smoke them. :)

congrats, bman! and stay in the fight!

every day is a new day and some will be more difficult than others.

I quit over 20 years ago and some days, a cigarette still sounds enjoyable

Well after 5 weeks my self I fell off the wagon. I think it was the stress and boredom Of this surgery recovery. Only second day off wagon and I have only smoked a few and they make me sick So I am gonna try hard tomorrow to get back on. Wish me luck!

You guys just gave me a great idea.

My wife hates my coin collecting hobby. I'll just tell her that she can choose: coin collecting or smoking a pack a day!

    :)
