I have often seen advertisements for Skyline coins in Coin World, and other numismatic magazines. As I look at their prices compared to other places, they seem extremely low! They advertise BU on many things, which I doubt it is, but even if some of the items they sell graded 63 or 63, they'd be well worth the price. My questions is, are they honest? Are they selling cleaned coins? What is your opinon of Skyline coins?
Check out this thread -http://www.cointalk.com/t15092/. Personally I would not use them. If I wanted raw I would buy from a trusted dealer.
There are few, if any, free lunches in numismatics. If a deal seems to go to be true, it probably is.
Thanks for posting that link Mark... I re-read the entire thread. Basically this one post told it all: "...all sell dipped, re-engraved, whizzed, and cleaned XF-AU coins as "Premium Quality Brilliant Uncirculated." If there weren't newbies to be ripped off, these losers would be out of business."
