Welcome mudtoy....if you're going to post such a sexy shot, please preface it with NSFW so that I don't get in trouble when I open this at my desk. Thanks! :)

(BTW...can you identify some of the goodies here? I see several things I can't quite make out)

Ha! Most of the rounds are SBSS and the others are a mixture of Irish, Australian and American silver coins.

I'm Irish but live in Australia and have a love of America

The only bullion coins I fondle are a pair of 2008 ASE that were given to me as a gift back then. I had no knowledge of PM coins at the time and very stupidly polished them to try and give them more luster (pics below). Eventually I learned that I pretty much destroyed any collectible value in them and felt horrible. I considered selling the coins as melt and buying fresh replacements, but, ended up just keeping them to fondle. The mint issued bullion coins I recently started buying are only minimally handled with coin gloves and stay in their tubes or go into air-tites holders. Lesson learned.

To tell the truth, if it were not for the missing mint mark, I'd almost swear that piece was a proof coin.......:)

We do what is known as 'coin turn' and they (European, Canada) do mostly what is known as 'medal turn'.........

Agreed! And I bet if you put them on eBay and called them "proof like" they would sell at a premium.

    New silver round

Finally picked up some silver rounds for a fair price, this is one of them, with silver at this low price I can't believe how hard it was to buy a round. The premiums are just so high and they are selling like crazy... Alan[IMG][/URL] [IMG]

[IMG][IMG] Got me a great deal on these three, and I do believe silver will continue going up in price. From what I read every day things are starting to look good for silver (I Hope:D). Hope you all enjoy.....Alan

My latest purchase today. Went to the lcs with my buddy.

    20 x 2013 1oz Silver Eagle
    1 x 2011 1oz Gold Buffalo

Originally wanted to buy a roll of maples because of the lower premiums but they were sold out. They had eagles at $29.17 so I picked up a full roll. Seeing as I live in Canada, a pretty good deal compared to $30.17 at Provident Metals and $31.72 on Apmex. Very surprised that Maples are sold out everywhere. I originally wanted a Canadian 99999 Gold Maple but they were sold out so I went with a Gold Buffalo for $1645. Gold Buffalo is much more beautiful than our own 1oz Maple.

    Blaubart Melt Value = 4.50

All they need to do is fix the obverse of the Canadian coins and they'll be beautiful coins. ;)

I do very much want to get one of the new Canadian Gold Maples with the laser etched anti-counterfeiting maple leaf device:
