man i missed the jump big time can not find a good 10 oz bar at a reasonable price anywhere.. guess im a few days late...
silvertowne has 10 ounces http://www.silvertowne.com/p-19301-silvertowne-poured-10oz-999-silver-bar.aspx
You're not too late. Prices are still fairly low, with just a tiny bounceback. Jumped on a few 10 ozers from Liberty...Year of the Snake and Morgan. Little bit of a wait right now (few weeks) but I'm patient. Not sure how much their shipping is, but I plan on making the ~2 hour trip down and enjoying a nice weekend in Sandy Eggo.
Picked up the Canadian Bison yesterday. Last one I needed to complete the wildlife series. I was going to buy some Maple Leaves too, but my local coinshop hasn't reduced his price correspondent with the latest dip. He still wanted $33 apiece. $9 over spot is a little steep for me.
My special Saturday delivery. Jumped and got these from MCM when spot was just north of $22. Premium was decent and a roll was finally decently priced, so I had to jump. Love that they come in their own holders, and love that they come sealed in plastic in "tube" form.
Also picked up a "roll" of Brits as well. Was a little disappointed that they come in these plastic containers. Going to have to grab a tube for them. Anyone know if this is usual for Brits not to come in a tube?
I don't know why you'd want them touching in a tube. I just put mine in flips and then put them in a box made for them. you can put a lot in one of them
I use the air tites around the coin then the accompanying captube that holds 20 airtites. Pretty efficient way to store silver coins and look at them if you want to.
I just picked one up too from Provident Metal along with a snake privy maple. This is actually my first coin in that series. Would love to pick up the others but the prices are very high. Hasn't been delivered yet however. My LCS as well wouldn't come off pre-drop pricing. He use to charge $5 over spot (which isn't great but I can walk to him, so I save a little on gas) and after the drop he bumped that to $7.50 over spot. $9 over is very steep.
Have thought of doing this, but the price per airtite and price per tube adds even more cost beyond the already high premiums. But I have to admit that since I've started collecting Kookaburras and keeping them in the blue-cap tubes (when not shrink wrapped in rolls of 20), I really find them convenient. Hmm...maybe I just need to purchase in bulk to bring the prices down.
What I don't understand is the prices people are paying on E,bay for any type of 999. silver rounds. They are selling at these prices as well no problem, always several bidders on every coin. Most are $10.00 or more over spot, and the sellers are having no problem selling them for those prices.... Alan
