Thanks, I've had that engelhard bar a long time. I don't buy much PAMP Swiss bullion because they're generally overpriced. I pick up a few here and there but I prefer bars to be poured rather than pressed and put in cards.
As for my video, I meant everything I said, and I think most people who watched it didn't draw the same conclusions as the ones posting rude obnoxious responses here did. Again, I think they're off base. Engaging in petty bickering with total strangers on the internet is the favorite past-time of some people. I think It's just something they love to do, all in the name of creating drama where none would otherwise exist. I don't know them any more than they know me, so I don't assume they're just young naive inexperienced kids who need to grow up, but I do suspect as much . . . regardless, this is a fun thread and I will continue contributing to it.

Okay, so I take it like this: You have a bad experience with a dealer and you complained (I would have done) and then you received a 5% discount (sounds fair) But to use this as leverage for future transactions is the problem. He made it right and then some. I don't want to cause a ruckus, but I seem to be questioning your morals.

 

Well, at least you articulated your thoughts more clearly this time...You 'seem' to be questioning my morals? *I* decide whether or not the slithering snake dealer's (SSD) one time discount made things right between him and me, not you, or anyone else for that matter. This is business, *my* business, not yours, and all is not forgiven/forgotten just because SSD gave me a discount that one time. I did have to waste my time/gas going back there, when SSD should have done the right thing to begin with. As long as I continue dealing with SSD, my guard will be up because of what SSD tried to pull. My only mistake in the situation was not assuming he was a snake to begin with, and not examining the merchandise more closely, and I should have known better. Still, there's no reason for me to assume SSD will conduct himself in a way that is morally upright in the future. It's more likely that SSD would do the same kind of thing to me again, if given the opportunity, and understanding that, I will deal with him accordingly. If anyone else feels the need to defend some anonymous PM dealer I'm reluctantly dealing with, then they should know that SSD stands to make A LOT of profit off of me, even if I am able to use his past shenanigans as leverage to get good deals. Ultimately SSD also has the option to reject/accept any counter offer I make in future dealings (again not anyone else's business to be judging me or concerning themselves with). If you have created a "ruckus" here, it's a minor one that is easily dismissed. I handle my business as I see fit, and I do so without going around trying to cheat and steal from people, so anyone who tries to say otherwise is, for the umpteenth time, off base.

Let me be clear - Petty bickering aside, I have no ill will whatsoever, not for SSD, or for anyone here who is under the mistaken impression that I'm somehow in the wrong for something I intend to do but haven't even done yet, in my future dealings SSD . No valid arguments have been made against me here as far as I'm concerned. I strongly suspect the negativity directed at me stems from the inexperence and naivity of the posters in question. I'm not stuck with bogus gold, and life (real life, not anonymous internet 'life') is good. However, if anyone here wants to insult me or accuse me of something I'm not guilty of to make themselves feel good or whatever their motivation is, then I will take time to attempt to correct them...to a point. This long-winded response is overkill on my part. I'm not sure why I am explaining myself at such length to complete strangers, when anyone who doesn't "get it" already probably won't get a clue from me anyway. So...if you or anyone else here wants the last word, have at it, it's just old news to me now, until/unless some new "fight picking" post turns up here again, at which point Silver pics is the only response from me they will get.

 

Off-topic: We have a lot of "holier-than-thou" types here. I just ignore the BS and do what the forum was intended for, enjoy coins and the hobby.

On-topic: I went to the Charlotte Coin Club show today to drop off 10 coins for ANACS to grade and found a few Silver art bars waiting for me to take them home.

Ha! Sure go ahead. I stole it (check that) borrowed it from a photo I seen somewhere. Believe it or not, the photo was of a sign on a building in Malaysia.

 

Really like those bars ya got Pacecar. Especially the Kittyhawk one. I've seen the Secretariat one before while "Cruising The Bay" and it usually goes for a premium over many other bars.

 

Thanks Schnauzer, unfortunately the Secretariat has a lot of scratches on it. I will probably upgrade when I find one in better shape for a good price.

Picked up this blue toner ASE today. The guy only wanted $3 over spot. So I had to buy it.

 

Nice. I got this one a month or two ago for $2 over spot cuz no one else wanted to buy it from my LCS cuz it wasn't shiny. I grabbed a Elvis First Day Cover and Proof for $30 yesterday and noticed it has some blue toning around the edges but it doesn't show up well in the pics through all of the plastic so not worth posting.
