Local Dealer "adventures"
Question, how do you walk out of a store with a fake gold eagle without noticing there is no reeded edge on the AGE and that there are test marks on it? Also, what dealer sells bullion and allows you to return the item within 7 days? I would buy from him and sell back if what I bought went down in value during the next few days. Personally, I think your entire attitude with the discount was uncalled for. Go back to the store, get your money back, and leave. Stop trying to play like you have been victimized. If a dealer tried selling me anything fake or tried deceiving me on a sale, I wouldn't continue to go to him in the future!
Yes, I am going to milk it, or try to, so that I can have more silver to post in this "Post your silver bullion!!!" thread. Your drama queen antics here are uncalled for based on the thread topic alone. You're getting all worked up over something you don't even have a vested interest in. It's just a youtube video about one event of relatively low importance, in the life of someone you don't know, and it certainly doesn't encompass my demeanor in general. Save your self-righteous indignation for someone who cares . . . GOODBYE.
I've only been collecting Silver Art Bars for about a month now and already have a keen interest. Really don't know what I'm doing, but I'm having fun. Research will be the key for sure. Here are 6 more I picked up recently.
Some of my silver rounds and coins Hi everyone I would like to show a few of my silver rounds and coins. I have been collecting for about two years know and have done very well when it comes to price. I am sorry for the different sizes of the pictures that I am still learning about. All the best Alan
Bought this on a whim and can't tell you why. There is a thumb print on the obverse. I'll dip it tomorrow and see if I can remove it. I notice this a lot on new rounds. Especially those with proof like finishes. I guess the bullion dealers aren't as careful when handling an item, since it's main purpose is not for collecting.
The edge on a few of those coins looks extremely suspicious to me... are you sure they're genuine silver? And those are great cases by the way, just got one for my art bars
I picked these up this week. I really like the Kennedy/Nixon bar. Taurus is my Zodiac sign, so I wasn't gonna be outbid on it.
Great . . . another person not posting silver bullion pics in a "post your silver bullion" forum thread, who has it all wrong. There is nothing even the least bit hypocritical about me *attempting* to use his past shady behavior as leverage in subsequent dealings, he's not forced to sell at a "you tried to pull one over on me last time I was here" discount. Of course I'm going to use any angle I have to haggle when I'm buying bullion from a local dealer, it's simply conducting good business practice as a buyer, but I would never try to cheat them the way he apparently tried to cheat me. His prices aren't very competitive compared to an APMEX anyway, so the only advantage to buying from him is saved time. I don't have a lot of local options to choose from so swearing off his shop completely isn't something I'll do unless he tries to pull something else. The negative feedback I've gotten on this is puzzling. It's not like I said I'd try paying him with fake money, or a $10 instead of a $100...THAT would be pot-kettle black. Comparing what he did, to what I said I was planning to do to say I'm no better than him makes no sense. Time for more silver bullion pics, overdue actually.
Very nice bar wheatpennypeter. Obviously at that price point you could have went with any gold coin. Looks like a move that a silver lover (like myself) would make, because I believe silver will out perform gold. - As far as the video, I think you just mispoke, and I'm not the kind of guy who would ever disrespect another fellow CT member. I do think those pamp swiss bars are a little overpriced though.
