Thecoin- This I don't doubt. "Officially" US silver coins were "out-of-circulation" but we all know that residual 90/10 coins reappear (from daddy's shoebox, daft seniles spending it, etc.) an circ with some infrequency. I do suppose the leakage into circ of .999 $1s must be slight and very rare: one per thousand or so? But weight-loss should indicate how long a coin circulated.
i don't have one for a pocket piece but have seen people with them. i have a morgan, peace, and silver ike for my pocket coins

I got a couple more bars today in the mail. The first one is a Greathouse SAB. It is the cancelled version of James Cagney, 1942 Academy Award Winner for "Yankee Doodle Dandy". This was produced in 1978 and is Serial #18 out of #20. The second one is Kitty Wells by the Music City Mint. It was produced in 1974 and had a mintage of 100.
That cancelled version of the Greathouse James Cagney silver bar is an excellent bar. I have never seen a cancelled version of a Greathouse bar at the local coin shop and those are nearly impossible to find at a coin show. That IMO is an excellent bar. The Music City Mint bars are also very hard to because of the low mintage numbers. Both of those bars sell for a very large premium on ebay. I think that the cancelled Greathouse James Cagney bar can probably fetch anywhere between $150 to $200 on ebay and the Music Ciity Mint Kitty Wells bar can probably get anywhere between $70 to $100 on ebay. Those are really just wild guesses on my part since I do not see many of those type of silver art bars show up on ebay. Those are very rare. Congrats Pacecar.
Can't stand those tin foil hat nutter. But cool coin. Foudn this: The 7th king will be the New World Order. The 8th king will be the Antichrist (Revelation 17:11).
You did a great job man. I have been refining silver for a few years now and let me tell ya it's an art form just to get a decent looking pour. I collect poured bars and rounds mostly old school stuff but have you ever sold any?
I didn't make those bars, I just had somebody make them for me. He sells the heck out of them. The most awesome part is I don't mind touching them with my bare hands and worry about lost premium or spots and other issues that come up at resale. If they tarnish or have my fingerprints on them, it's about a 1 minute job on a buffing wheel and all is good.
I havent Posted for awhile but ive been continuing to try and Buy (during the Dips) as much as possible, Back in Late June i posted up my Complete Stash of Roughly 25 ounces. I have since added 16 More ASE's, 10 1 ounce Silvertowne Prospector Bars, 1 5 ounce Prospector Bar and 4 what i like to call collectible silver coins (Fiji Taku, (2) 2012 Kookabura's and (1) 1992 Kookabura) along with a few ounces of Junk Silver. I use a Iphone app to keep track of my Silver Cost/Worth and i have roughly 62 ounces, I wanted to try and average a few ounces a month and suprisingly ive averaged almost 10 a month so im pretty stoked. Enjoy...
Here is a silver art bar that I bought on the second day (yesterday) of the coin show........................ It is a 1973 Valley Forge Mint "Series A 1973". The actual stamped weight is 500 grains (1.04 troy oz.) and I paid $32.70 for it (11-2-2012 spot silver = $30.91/oz). Silvertowne was at this coin show and I found that bar while I was looking through one of their melt buckets. The 4th edition Archie Kidd guidebook lists a mintage of 500 for this bar. Here is the silver art bar that I bought today on the last day of the show. This was my "splurge" day today since I was finished "bargain hunting" yesterday. I "splurged" on this bar meaning that I paid a collector's premium for it instead of a .999 generic silver premium but I do not mind because I prefer to buy what I like. Here is what I bought today...................... This is a holiday-themed enameled "Easter" foreign (West Germany) silver art bar. It was struck in 1977 by B.H. Mayer. The 4th edition Archie Kidd silver art bar guidebook (page 245) mentions that "All bars struck by B.H. Mayer of Kunstrageanstalt Pforzheim, West Germany". I normally do not buy holiday-themed silver art bars but I made an exception with this one because 1.) It is a foreign silver art bar that is very hard to find because of the low mintage of some of these, 2.) It is an enameled silver art bar, 3.) The unique edges, and 4.) The theme is different from your usual U.S. minted Easter-themed silver art bars. I splurged on this bar when I paid $55.00 for this bar (11-2-2012 spot silver = $30.91/oz). The "lines" on the enameled part of this bar are cracks in the clear enamel front that was caused by rough handling but the colored decal that is under the clear enamel is fine. I am making a wild guess that those cracks in the clear enamel were caused from it being dropped. On the reverse side of this bar, there is some very small lettering that is directly located under the "B.H. Mayer" lettering. Upon closer inspection, that small letting says "W. Germany". "W. Germany" = West Germany.
