I bought this on ebay last Saturday and it arrived in the mail today. I like the octagon shape of this silver piece. It is a 1973 Lombardo Mint Roy Heyer "200 Years of Liberty" silver art octagon. I paid a BIN of $44.99 for it. I put this on my digital scale and it weighs 1.1 troy oz.
I really like those Canadian Bullion coins. I have been searching high and low for a 1/2 oz. at bullion price.
It is a bit of a blown out picture but that sealed capsule is... complicated Thanks for checking it out! -L
My Australian Lunar II series 2oz Year of the Dragon. As an aside, is there such a thing as an Australian Lunar Series II 2-oz Year of the Mouse/Rat? Any help appreciated. Happy New Year! -L

This is the 2012 "Year of the Dragon" bullion Proof, issued by the Singapore Mint. My son was there a few days ago, and he bought this direct from their mint and gifted it to me. It's 20 grams which is about 2/3 of a Troy oz and .999 fine Silver. It's 38.7mm, slightly larger than a Peace Dollar. Total Mintage: 10,000. This was documented as number 05286. They also make larger pieces, in 5oz and 1kg of Silver. Their mint catalogue, which I also received, has over 40 pages of coin and gift ideas, many in .999 fine Gold or Silver. Their marketing effort is much greater than our mint, and even has offerings from other world mints.
My latest silver art bar purchase.................... It is a "Good Luck" silver art bar that was minted by Continental Coin Corp in 1987. I paid $35.28 for it today at a LCS.
