Hi all. I've been wanting to contribute to this thread. So here's all I've got. 83.2 troy ounces. 31 ounces in .999, the rest in old US coinage.
Not really much but I picked up these 2 coins, each around one once of .999 FS the other day at an estate sale for 20bucks a piece. They are from a Rotary Club in Aspen Co.
UPS just delivered my 2010 Mount Hood "P" puck. That silver minted mountain is really a piece of art. There quite a bit of difference between the bullion version and the "P" version. Have a great day all! Chuck
New AME W mint will be out soon read the link below. http://www.coinnews.net/2011/08/05/2011-uncirculated-silver-eagle-scheduled-for-september-release/
My latest silver art bar purchase: It is a 1976 Coca-Cola-Shelbyville, KY silver art bar. It was minted by World Wide Mint. I bought it today at a local flea market and I paid $46.00 for it today (spot silver was $38.32 on Friday). Serial # 734.
9guns, i like that mexican coin you posted. i just got one myself the other day cause i like the design. my wife however doesn't like the coin because she doesn't like me looking at other women (even on coins it seems)
A good find at a small coin show today........................ A 1/2-oz silver 2000 Lunar Dragon coin. I paid $20 for it today.
Canadian Grizzly. Bought some of these today. Silver may or may not be undervalued. But I liked their look.
A silver art bar that I bought at a coin show today. A "World Series 1978" silver art bar. It was minted by a private company called The Mint. I paid $60 for it today (spot finished today at $42.90/oz).
:thumb:Wow a NY Yankees bar!!! this is the 1st one I seen from the 1970's I know I could have got 5oz with battle for NY Met&Yankees WS. :kewl:
I picked this one up for bullion price and had it certified for protection. The champagne toning made this coin stand out enough to buy it and it makes a great addition to my mexican coin collection.
Coca-Cola silver art........................... It is 1975 Coca-Cola silver art round. It weighs 1/2 oz and it was minted by the World Wide Mint. It is stamped ".999 Fine Silver" on the rim of the silver art round. I bought this today from an area coin dealer and I paid $24.33 for it.
I like that coin, Silver Art. It's happy and festive. I can feel it bringing out the Christmas spirit in me I picked up some coins as well today at a show. I'm not sure what the variation of the maple leaves are, but I loved the matted look on them as well as the uniqueness. On a side note, I was considering offloading a 10 oz bar today, but decided to hold on to it. I found one dealer willing to give me 2 cents over spot for it which I found pretty surprising. In the past I've never been offered better than $1 under spot when asking around.
