My apologies if I've already posted this coin in this thread (didn't see it in the last few pages), but just got grades posted today. Coming back from NGC as 66UCAM (the only UCAM at NGC; only one DCAM at PCGS, and that's a 67): 1967 SMS QDO FS-101
I've never posted in here before. I've got a couple I could post, I'm sure most of you have seen them before in other threads though. Here's a super deep mirrored PL '69-D I found not too long ago. It's still waiting to take a trip to FL though. And a gorgeous toned '64-D
Nice coins! I do notice that PCGS distinguished it as an SMS (which I had wondered about in another post recently). I'm curious how they were able to determine this. Love the toning!
@Prez2 basically you can't once it's been cracked out of the holder https://www.cointalk.com/threads/how-to-tell-the-different-from-sms-to-business-strike.283892/
The gold Kennedy is a bullion coin and has absolutely nothing to do with the Kennedy half dollar series!
Yeah, but cool to include it. I wish I had a gold Walker for my Walking Liberty set. Just a little extra icing for the cake!!
I'm just jealous cause I don't own one yet...Waiting for the right moment to grab one for the icing on my complete Kennedy graded set. The market is still settling down from their initial inflated pricing.
I think the gold Kennedy and the four special silver issues in 2014 make a cool subset. The only other Kennedys I have are a ‘64 accented hair proof and the one in the silver Bicentennial proof set.
