Got some silver bullions (bars and coins) I need to store at home. Though I have no interest in numismatic value, I would like to keep it as clean as possible since I am sure that will only help when time to sell. Is plastic ammo box an acceptable method of storing silver? Thanks.
I think it would be acceptable. You could always put in a couple of dessicant packs and a few really shiny Lincoln cents.
Plastic? Ugh. Go to a surplus store or recycle store for a couple of bucks you can get genuine metal ammo boxes. I've got 'em from WWII, the Korean war, Nam. I use some of mine to store LiPo batteries for RC airplanes.
i thought plastic would be better or at least sufficient to store silver. Any reason to choose the metal can over plastic to store silver bullion?
