I find it fun messing with telemarketers. Put them on hold while you find your reading glasses. Put them on hold as you find a pen. Put them on hold as you find your credit card. Give them a bad credit card number Put them on hold as you find a different card. Give them a bad number again. Tell them about your hemorrhoid operation. Ask them if they've ever had a hemorrhoid.
Actually I've checked a couple of times and they haven't charged my credit card yet. Wonder if they just "junked" my order?
Those 1/10 gold Eagles might be seen at even higher prices soon. Was watching Fox News for the latest on the hurricane, but as I arrived at the channel the discussion was about congress doing away with the need to vote for an increase in the debt ceiling. One of the business talking heads in the discussion pointed out that, as of today, the Dollar was at its lowest point this year and that gold had gone up pretty strong on that news. I immediately thought to myself of my earlier decision to hold off on buying any AGEs until after the new year and started kicking myself in the pants mentally for waiting to buy something more expensive three months down the road with dollars that aren't worth as much.
Thanks to Caller ID, I just let the phone ring; few of them bother to leave messages on the answering machine.
You never know which way the market is heading, you might surprise yourself and actually save a few dollars
"I'm a day late and a dollars short. The price is $115.00/coin." "especially since they are PCGS 70" I did not see anything re: the coins being graded. The lowest price on the PCGS website for PCGS70 $10.00 AGE is $485.00/coin. I left a voice mail requesting they call me.
I just saw another advertisement today for the same $110 per coin...random date, ungraded. They will try and switch you to something else, and possibly lose your order if you insist you just want the 1/10 oz ungraded coins.
They sent you five 1/10 ounce AGE's graded PCGS70 for $110/coin? That is amazing when they are worth a minimum of $485.00/coin.
A common graded 70 is only worth about 1.1 X melt. I have no idea why people even have them graded but I'll buy them from my dealer as long as he only wants that 10% premium.
I ordered ten of them today. The sales guy was unrelenting attempting to switch my order to include graded coins. I finally told him I'm not going to order anything else. total cost: 1188.50 delivered blocked emails and phone calls are my friends.
"I just saw another advertisement today for the same $110 per coin." Do you remember where you saw it?
Advertising magazine "Local Flavor" September/October 2017 - LocalFlavor.com upper left-hand corner of back page. Code IM-1457 I called up because my credit card still hasn't been charged and they said they will call me back on Monday...(Of course I'll respect you in the morning...)
They were pushing graded 1800's double eagle coins and other gold coins. Will check out Local Flavor.
