Here are some pics of me at the Gold Standard Show in Vegas this past May. Yes, that is a 1,000oz coin. She was freakin' heavy.

And yes, those are 1,000oz silver bars.

It was a special private viewing thing. Guards, guest list, blah, blah, blah, here's your special sticker to get in, etc.

Picked up a 2009 Early Releases NGC MS-69 Buffalo at the time. ;)

Yes she did, note the use of gloves.

She's a 1000oz sized philharmonic. Only a few of them in the world. At the time, she was worth $1.2mil based on price of spot. Little bit more now. ;)

I was gonna ask how much the 1000 oz. coin weighed but never mind.

1000 oz = 62.499 lbs. according to the Internets oz to lbs converter thing.

Yeah. I tried to tell them it had chocolate inside and to let me have it for the price of chocolate. They didn't buy it or budge on their price. Had to walk away.

1000 troy ounces to "regular" adv. pounds makes it over 68 pounds! That's one strong man holding that weight!

Fun. I can see why you were smiling so bright. What a cool experience. Did you try lifting a 1,000 oz bar. Was there a waiting line to hold the Big Phil?
    Bet

Those are some pretty awesome pictures. Much cooler than getting your picture taken with the million dollars under the plexi-glass at Binions!
