hey guys thanks for all your help.. give me a day to take a few pictures and i will upload them... i do want to keep most of it as i believe silver will be sought after very soon. im actually sorting wheat pennies. but i dont work in the winter, so i will post pics tomorrow for you guys.. i will also post pics of the 6 franklins and the walkers that i think are worth more that melt value
I'm sure everyone here who's read this post is anxiously awaiting the results of your sorting. I sure would drool over being the guy who helps you look through everything...basically the job I do for an auctioneer friend of mine. Good luck!
i basically went thru all the dates already, and only found a hand full that are actually higher than 1.50-7.00 worth IN GOOD condition.. most of my coins are in G-4 to maybe Fine... there is no black on any of the coins.. they were all in circulated rolls in a safe TEASER PIC as u can see im going thru the Lincoln Memorial pennies and sorting them from 1959-82 and 83-2012 for copper and zinc. the pennies to the left stack is around 7 rolls high in a pyramid, next will be the wheats like u see on the table which i did w/ every coin are have business cards i put the key dates on for that coin. as you can see im looking for those dates for the pennies to the far right of the table u can see 6 shinny Franklin halves. to the left of those u can see i have (3) 1916 walking liberties and a 1938 D walker. then i have to put the '64 and '65-70 JFK separate. the bag smack in the center is the 855 quarters, and another 500 to the left of the penny rolls.. the Glad blue containers house the 4200 dimes to the left anyway drool over that until i take more pics tomorrow
You sir, have inherited the hoard of a lifetime. If it were mine, I would catalogue and picture each coin and have them stashed away. But of course I am not you, so I have to just be jealous. Jealous I am.
Keep it all, pass on to other generations. Unless you really need the money of course. Also, you DO NOT have to have a coin professionally graded to SELL IT. If anyone tells you otherwise, they're lying and you should just walk out immediately, don't do business with liars.
Surprised no one mentioned it. Look for 1916-D on the Mercury dimes. I know those are a lot to go through, but if you have one there that is a key date.
as another minor league umpire (for little league lol) i welcome you to the forum, and i would like to announce that my umpiring friends agree that my strike call is the best in the state of rhode island lol
Sell the "junk" silver here on cointalk, im sure lots of people would love to buy them including myself!
I'm so jealous, that looks like so much fun going through all those coins! Be sure to search for errors and varieties too. -LTB
