I don't see anything from the mint as an investment. Look in the Red Book at the original issue price versus current value. JMO

You might see a brief run up on price after it's released, but buying it as an investment, in my opinion, is a fools errand. Again, JMO.

Its no better than a normal silver eagle price and design wise.

The US Mint prices are so high I can’t consider anything they sell as an investment.

2021 gave me a perfect opportunity to break ties with the US Mint.
Original design ASE ends and the thousands of quarters program ends. I am not going to get hooked into another 10 year set or the new ASE program.

I hear that, besides, there’s all those nice older coins to collect. :)

If they'd made a proof Morgan, I'd have been excited for that (and made an attempt to get one.) I'm not really a fan of the design (never have been except for exceptional quality coins) but a proof would have been something worth keeping for myself. I am also not a fan of the advertised finish (on that design) and a privy mark means nothing to me.

I will be focusing my attention on snagging a Peace (or two) though, as I've always loved that design. If I get one, my next step will be an attractive UNC 1921.

Not looking forward to the shenanigans the Mint pulls with CAPTCHA checks and server collapses, though.

I don't like the Morgan design, the "privy marks", nor do I like the price tag. I think this will be an easy pass for me. I may try for a Peace Dollar since that is a design I actually do like.
As far as investments go, I think it'd be a terrible one, like most mint products are.

I have a coin show to attend a few days before these release. I'd much rather spend my money there.

I can't imagine there are many coin shows in Maine. If you'd like, I could my eyes peeled for something you've been looking for.

As I was reading these post the thought came to me that I would rather spend that money to fill holes in current collections. Then I see your comment, amen brother.
