Another successful day of detecting. Can't beat that for a break in staying home under quarantine.

Speaking of quarantine, are you off work because of it? I had to spend Saturday night in town at a hotel due to my Argo breaking down and the Home to Suite hotel had laid off all but the minimal staff. The office staff also cleaned and got the rooms ready. Killing them and the economy.

Brian, You may not want to go to the trouble, but my 'dug' clad coins all came out of the ground blackened & really ugly.
An old timer had a great solution to my problem.
    I.E.
He gave me an old a rock tumbler to use for the clad quarters, dimes & nickels. After mixing cheap vinegar/water (50/50)
and white sand I tumbled the coins for several hours making them very acceptable
    to banks or stores.
Of coarse, you want be sure you are not tumbling a collectible variety &
never tumble a copper cent in w/ you clads or they will all turn pink!

@J.T. Parker : I'm probably not going to cash them in anyways. A few years back I started to count how many wheat back pennies I have found but I stopped at 1000 and there were a whole lot more in the jar. I like looking at them now and then ... but I'm pretty sure I have some sort of weird coin hoarding problem.

I also have four big jars of newer, post '59 pennies. Just weighed one of them and it came in at 19 pounds, so I have around 75 pounds of new pennies. That's just crazy.

    Brian,
    I recognize that feeling exactly.
One of the youngsters I hunted with (25 yr. old) never got rid of any find, junk to treasure.
Fortunately, I did not mind trading in my clad coins. (Sadly because it sometimes had to provide grocery money)
Happy to say my luck changed largely due to my metal detecting days leading me to friends with other more lucrative job offers.
Never thought of it in these terms but MD was ABSOLUTELY seminal in my being financially solvent now!

Hopefully you get the gift card so you don’t have to pay 11.9% haha. Did you find all those rings metal detecting???

I don't mind the charge. I make it up finding more coins and valuable metals all the time. And yes.. Those are definitely all the rings I have detected over the past 9 years. Minus 1 that my mom liked and kept for herself.
