Did u ever love a coin at first sight? This is on eBay with a day left. It's from a reputable dealer. Worn? Yes. But to me its got character. Am I the only one? Lol
Superb eye appeal. A great addition to any Morgan collection. I think your coin qualifies as a "CircCam." What is a CircCam? Here is a Cointalk link you may enjoy. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/wh...ee-and-post-yours.288335/page-17#post-3137768
That's what I thought. Great tone and not marked up. It could be my first Morgan since I got back into coins.
Thank you for the link. I've posted a couple there already and if this becomes mine, it'll be there and my display box.
This Morgan has everything going for it as a circulated example. Not that there is anything wrong with a mint state coin that is "blast white," so long as it still has original luster but many are dipped or cleaned. Not to mention that unless a silver coin is stored in a way to protect it from the environment, it is going to tone or react with its environment. I immediately question a blast white coin that is over a hundred years old. I pass on many UNC, blast white coins for these reasons.
Im not sure about the date position of this coin. Hopefully the photo is just angled as to throw off my attribution. @Dave Waterstraat what say ye??
Well, someone did the last second bid and got this Morgan. Can't bid when ur driving home from work. It went for 40.99.
It does look in between the near date and the very near date positions. Must be the angle and a solar flare...
So i wasnt imagining things..... that is a cause for concern imo, especially being that the 9 looked skinnier than the other date digits. I would pass and look for another if it were my hard earned cash at stake
