Krugerrands my lofty goal..cant just have one, how about everyone!

I am currently using my Krugers for different life events, Birthdays, anniversary graduations and such, but why stop there ? its time to go all in ! 67-22, I am thinking
if I am lucky should only take about two years as I usually buy 2 - 3 onces of GOLD
a month, plus what I already have, the problem is certain years are next to impossible
for example my daughter was born in 2001 with a population of only 11,452 my chances aren't great, even a 2019 is tough ! no population figures are available on that
one, but you can take a look at different sites on ebay for instance most of the time no
go have bought several from my LCS, which they never charge a premium because of
certain years I cant say the same for other dealers, but most dealers offer random
dates 73 - 84, after 84 the populations go way down your 78 is your most common
with over 6 million minted, so theres your random date...LOL

APMEX is my Krugger go to as they offer select dates, but you will pay a hefty premium
on some of the more difficult dates, will post my lates find when it comes in.

Yeah, its from my BTC account, I know thats a dirty word to some on the forum
they just dont understand the concept, its not rocket science but you do have to
know what your doing or you can lose your _ _ _ quick want to keep this post

I don't have a Krugerrand yet. If I remember correctly about 12 years ago I bought a quarter ounce gold Krugerrand, but I sold it off 3 years later. A one ounce gold Krugerrand is in my want list.

Ok, will go ahead and list my Kruger’s
significance and mintage now that I will
be looking for not only my specific dates
but the others as well

 

First up, 1979 Krugerrand
this was the date I graduated junior
high.

Mintage: 4,940,755

one of the most common

 

Next is a 1982 Krugerrand, this when
my oldest son ( Chris ) was born

Mintage: 2,179,120

 

Next is a 1983 Krugerrand, this is the
year I graduated high school.

Mintage: 3,169,200

for sure on the common side.

 

I’m not interested them. I just buy US gold coins, pre 1933.

 

This is the one that came today 1989
Krugerrand this is my middle sons
(Randy’s ) birthday.

Mintage: 308,923

This is actually a pretty tough coin !
