The suggestion - unsubstaniated - is that Iranians are accumulating/routing Gold through Afghanistan too; there&#039;s also a thriving black market currency market for unknown elements (<i>maybe </i>the Iranian govt, maybe narco-terrorist cartels or pecunious individuals. It remains unclear.) This murky trade continues and the muddled story&#039;s not finished, either.</p><p><br /></p><p>I haven&#039;t described any of these players as &quot;stupid or lazy&quot; but an obvious explosion in Gold demand in recent years begs a question or two. From where, and why? It&#039;s not about Americans buying, certainly. I think it&#039;s complex and far, far more significant to <i>the bullion story </i>&amp; ultimate POG than we know here or can confirm now.
