i bought these about 4 1/2 years ago. Less than $20 each for sure. I just opened the box which I found last week. Boy was I surprised but I'm grinning from ear to ear. Now onto the second box thst was with it. I'm due for another surprise.
I just opened the other box. Definitely a surprise. Nothing but more rounds of silver, a few rounds of copper and 10 cull Morgans. Maybe 4 of them were culls with the rest a G or VG. One of the culls was a 1900-O/CC. Shame someone scraped the obverse. There are several varieties of the over mintmark. This one is one of the more difficult one to spot but it's clearly there. About 11:00 on the left C and the tip of the right C shows at 5:00. I'd never get it on my cell phone camera. I'd be all day taking and posting if I did them all. More than a hundred of them so please, just take my word.
I think it is important that we can all "...take my word..." for some things. Most of us have been collecting for so many years and have so much stuff that we can't photo and post all of it. Nice haul.
That would include me. I'm just now finding and opening boxes I purchased 10 years ago. Busy, busy, busy as the magician says in Frosty the Snowman.
It's difficult to imagine how much stuff a person can accumulate in 75+ years. Last night a grandson was interested in Canadian coins. I opened some boxes and showed him hundreds if not thousands and said get after it. I hope he does get interested in them.
Great find! Yep, your avatar says it all, "Borderline Hoarder!" My wife calls me a hoarder as well so I can relate!
At least I can sit back. The edge of the seat has left left an indelible crease on my buttocks. We will take your word for it, at least I will. Thanks for the update.
Dessert is served while watching TV or in my case, a DVD movie of my choice. Tonight is The Train Robbers with John Wayne and Ann Margaret.
