Any tips on what I should go after? I have a $250 Max budget delivered. No preference on the American gold coin as for dates. Something clean , nice and shiny. I'm leaning towards a MS70 or PF70 like I got for last years raffle. I have a bunch of stuff on the bay watch list and thinking of focusing on West point mint or a W-proof coin. I have a few weeks, I'll post up what I can snag.
I just overpaid a little I guess purchased 1/10 gold 1986 AGE for 245.00 delivered to my cave. I know the 1/10 are more expensive than just wait and save to buy an ounce its cheaper. If I had patients, I would take that good advice and wait and save. but NO
The 86 is first year mintage, they bring a premium. I put in a few bids and made a few offers for buy it now eagles... with my luck I'll probably end up with two before I get one I guess there are worse problems. I was digging around in the gold box after diving into the shipwreck I feel I like I could use moar gold trinkets. I have won 2 of these raffle prizes over the years, but I try a little harder than some people.
Well how did I do?? I put this one on the watch list because it was close to the $250 budget. Seller sent me an offer about 6 hours later. Let see if it's legit (Seller has 100% feedback)
Below spot? Mmmaybe. Looks like he also let a 5oz silver bar go for $120 earlier in the month, and he's already gotten feedback on it. Looking at his other listings, it looks like he doesn't really have much of an idea what coins should go for. That can mean asking way too much, or way too little. I've gotten gold and silver below melt on eBay on a few occasions. It does happen. Great snag, if it works out!
Found 1/10 2013, 2015,2016.2021 $240 right now on 1/10 oz. If you buy 2 or more, he will do $235. every now then you find one cheaper on the Bay but you know how that goes. still lookng though
The 1/10 oz American gold eagle arrived in the mail. Looks really nice BU condition for sure. I don't see any marks on it at all and I'd say it should grade a 65 at least. It doesn't stick to a magnet Weight is spot on and the metal detector said it's in the gold range. I'd say it's legit and should be a big ticket seller... I'm also going to be adding 8 Nevada $1 Goldbacks to the prizes.
Maybe, but in my opinion... MS70, PF70, would be what more people would be looking for in graded bullion.
Nice, I had to look it up. Didn't recognize that one. I've been looking for one of his 1/10 prospector rounds but keep being priced out.
I would've sure jumped on one at that price! $10 over melt for a 1/10oz gold token? Heck yes, even if it weren't a Carr strike!
