I live in a major city in the northeast and I drive a German car. The only gun I own is the one that came with my Nintendo duck hunt game when I was 8.

 

German car, huh? Don't get me started on THAT piece of evidence of an overinflated sense of entitlement. Most German car driving males I encounter on the northeast's highways ought to have their licenses pulled.

Kurt, you crossed the line Now dissing a man's car is fightin' talk. I am a dyed in the wool car guy from the 70's and I drive my German two seater every day. It puts a smile on my face every time I crank the key. There are some of us who buy German autos for the right reasons.

 

My guess would be it is pretty accurate.

 

No doubt, but there are also too many 30-something hotshots out there in their "ultimate driving machines" doing 90+ on interstates while weaving in and out, passing on both sides, contrary to law. I've seen the resultant carnage too often.

 

True survival of the fittest in a way. Now if you change the numbers 30 and 90 around, you have the other extreme

 

We've got a bumper crop of both around here. If you don't believe it, I'll show you my friggin auto insurance bill. And I get all of the good driver discounts. Sheesh....

I have driven the LIE six times - about six too many. I know a guy who used to be a LIE regular. He would ride the left lane incessantly on the PA turnpike. He explained where he's from, the left lane is the thru lane and the right is for getting on and off. Not when exits are 25 miles apart, dude.

 

I'm sitting on an Amtrak train right now. I won't be taking it to its terminal destination because that would be leading me into Penn Station.

I'm a daily Amtrak commuter. All Florida trains are decent trains. Nice staff, too.

 

Has always been a great experience.
