"fiat" from the Latin "let it be done," meaning that money printed by the Fed. is backed by the full faith and credit of the US Go'vt or wampum.

This is what I see fit to fix things here on the Thread, buy Silver.

To all the People that invest in Silver. These people are not worth your time. Stop talking with them and ignore them. The computer is easy for them to get on and make problems, lies and any other bull they want. So just stop talk with them. Buy Silver have strong hands and you will win in the end.

The fact the Mods let them Troll around on the Thread here is a example of Poor decision Making.

Not everybody who disagrees with you is a troll. ;) There have indeed been a couple of posts in this topic lately that are "borderline" (see desertgem's comments). Keep in mind however that you can always use the Ignore option.

When it comes to trolls, except for the subject of this section being in his wheelhouse, no one trolls better than SunriseCoins. His entire raíson d'être is to scam Federal Reseve Notes (actual legal money) from unsuspecting rubes who are too untrained to know they're being scammed by him. If he were sincere, he'd be keeping every last ounce he could lay his hands on for himself, instead of unloading it on others. Just sit there 15 seconds and think about that. He uses this board as a free advertising platform in his marketing program.

Buy silver if you like it, I own hundreds of ounces. But selling fear and silver as an alternative to actual investments is financial terrorism.

Thinking would indeed be better than bashing again. Applies to both of you.

Just a policy question of you: Are some viewpoints "protected and privileged" on CoinTalk, or does it only appear that way from time to time? If you feel uncomfortable answering a question that pointed, I can wait for Peter. I mean, if there are commercial concerns that affect editorial decisions, CT wouldn't be the first place, nor the last, where that might happen, especially in this digital age.

I cannot tell what your perception is. But I do know that continuous ad hominem attacks are neither welcome nor tolerated. (Whoever does it.)

I would only remind you, and Mr. Davis, that acting as an "investment advisor" without the proper licenses is a criminal offense in most states, including mine. "This is why I like to buy silver" is NOT investment advice, but a fair amount of what SunriseCoins posts here "crosses the line" and is. Would you like the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office to weigh in? I can arrange that if you like.

May I ask what is you motivation for owning silver?
    Insurance? Wealth preservation?
I ask this because of past comments you have made about stackers and I was curious as to your reason for the accumulation.
Just a query...not meant to come across as defensive.
I apologize for being off topic.

    Mr. galapac,

You strike me as a fair sober individual who has asked an eminently fair, reasonable, and earnest set of questions and I will endeavor to respond in the same spirit. I have arrived at my evening's destination so this will be my last post for a few hours.

Insurance? No, insurance against what? I earnestly believe that the likelihood of a calamitous currency collapse is maybe 0.0001 at best. At that level of risk assessment, any "premium" is too dear. I live at the highest geographic point near me - I also do not have a flood rider.

Wealth preservation? No, I expect silver to decline from these levels on the near and intermediate term and roughly be flat from here long term during the entirety of the rest of my statistical lifespan.

Why then? Every blessed scrap I own, every microgram, falls into one of the below categories:
    1) it is part of a date, or date/mm set, depending on the series. They have been collected for their surfaces, not their metal content.
    2) it is anticipated by me to be part of a competitive numismatic exhibit at some future date that is banging around my noggin.
    3) it was a gift or an award given to me in love or appreciation, and it would be gauche of me to let it go.
    4) and this is a smaller category, it was purchased to "just be silver" when ASE's sold for under and around $5 in the 1990's. Looking at the toning progressions is what has me keeping them.

Crap, there's a 5th category that is slipping my mind. More on that later tonight. Turning 60 bites.

Have an enjoyable evening, sir. I have a Friends of the NRA banquet to get into.

Disagreeing and constant bashing, ridiculing and harassing are...without a doubt...two very separate things.

Greenie, my good man, you reminded me of category #5. I buy nearly all classic and modern non-gold commemoratives, silver AND clad, but usually BU only versions, rarely proofs.

It seems to me that some think that once they are past the page with warnings on it , that it is OK to start over again. And it is not. One member is gone since they felt their language was restrained, and that after being warned , had no problem with using the language a second time. So all who intend to continue in this direction, I say to pm Peter Davis and explain how you are privileged and powerful and should make your own rules, because when I eventually ban you for continuing to ignore previous, you will not be able to pm him, as you will be nothing, no likes, no record, likely no posts. This is directed to a couple of members.

Trust me, curmudgeonliness more happens to one than one plans for it. Unfortunately, over-reliance on sarcasm can work similarly. My office environment drips with sarcasm and WE like it that way, but I keep forgetting it's not everyone's cup o' tea.

Based only on this post, I backed up the truck and bought 6, that's 6 total ounces, of year of the sheep rounds from Provident. They cost $105.74 in US dollars and I got free shipping. I'm not the most educated person, only a BBA, but I think this purchase alone is going to make me strike it rich. I plan on buying a house right next to Jed Clampett's heirs from the profits, and some nights I will sneak into their back yard and take a dip in their cement pond. I didn't need any help or guidance from any of them smart people that constantly bash metals in a PM forum, just your advice. Thank you so much, I never would have been able to make this momentous decision without your guidance. I'm sure your education was probably much like mine, you took it much more serious once your paycheck was dependent on earning your money.

That ignore function works extremely well on this forum. I ignored someone and they vanished into thin air.

    Cool! :woot:

Does that also cause continuity issues with the thread where blocks of responses are missing?
