Just let me tell you one true story. ...About what you get from a chain restaurant in my part of this great land of ours. Won't lie; it was a family dinner at a Red Lobster. (1: Somebody else paid for it. 2. What else would they call it? Green Lobster? 3. ...And this was in my part of this great (expletive suppressed, with some effort) land of ours.) So I order their gumbo. Shows up; tastes like it was made to order for people of too much, ahem, Northern European descent. I ask the bright, shiny waitress for Tabasco sauce. She says, in her inimitable way, 'Oh! you like it spicy!' (Barely more than involuntary expletive: ) It's (...dramatic pause: ) Gumbo! (--No, I didn't say that.)
