Many elderly people are just put into assisted care facilities and forgotten about. I used to volunteer at one of these facilities, and it really made the day for many of the seniors because the family never bothered to visit. I took care of my Mom for 10 years after my Dad passed, and if it wasn&#039;t for me, the rest of the family would not have raised a finger to help.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This just happens to be a subject that instills a lot of passion in me. I wish that more younger people (I&#039;m 62!) would take the time to volunteer their services in a home for the elderly.
