how do you get american silver eagles straight from the mint?

how do you get american silver eagles straight from the mint? I assume you have to buy them in large quantities, but how do you get them?

You can buy just one ASE if you desire.

You can order the coins from usmint.gov or call 1-800-USA-MINT.

they are $25.95 each.

i shoud have been more specific, i was looking to get some tubes/boxes of 2009 BU coins, and not the proofs, i dont see those on usmint.gov.

 

The mint sells the regular American silver eagle bullion coins to dealers. The dealers then sell to the public. Best place I have found is mint products. Here is the link.

In order to buy direct from the mint you just have to meet a few conditions, such as being a two way market marker for about five years, have about 5 million dollars in assets, one million of it in liquid assets, and then you have to purchase a minimum of 50,000 oz at a time.
