No everyone has said it was going through the roof since at least 1980. What they said was it was going up - for good - and then more - and then more. Not one person did I ever see post that there would be a short lived speculative bubble that would last for 3 weeks ??? was it before it lost 40% to $30 and then a slow ( 2 years or so ) loss of another 50%. Not one person predicted that. In fact there was a guy on another site who said when it was close to $50 that it would lose 2/3 which turned out to be even less than what it lost, but quiet a good call. He was tarred and feathered and worse by the crowd. What is a stupid idiot he was. Now I know of course of course of course all the silver crowd sold out at $49 or so to make a huge profit on their $6 DCA silver. Oh isn't internetville a wonderful thing, everyone always comes out on top. In the real world things are quiet different. So yes even though silver neard $50 for a while, the silver crowd has been 100% wrong. Just like those who loaded into baseball cards and thought sure their rookie cards of Mike Trout or whoever would someday give them a nice retirement were wrong. Just because baseball cards went to the moon for a very short period of time doesn't not make "investing in baseball cards" a good move.
