    I have a coin, described as:-
    THRACE Apollonia Pontica SNG BM Black Sea 190
    AE17 mm., 3.9 gm.
    Obv: Apollo standing facing, head left, holding Patera.
    Rev: Anchor with (?) in left field and letter 'A' in right field.
    I was looking to confirm the attribution, but I was not able to find it in any of my reference material.
    Can anyone confirm the attribution, and/or point me in the direction of where I may find a reference to this coin, please?
    Thank-you.

    Usually, at this city, this is a crayfish but I have not seen this coin.

  4. Although your coin is beat up, Apollo's left arm may be hanging left. I also see what could be the outline of a bow. If he is holding a bow, then the closest references may be SNG BM Black Sea 190; HGC 3.2, 1345; or variations of.
    See 2 examples below:

    I was hesitant to refer to the 'crayfish', but I think that you are right with that.

    @iamtiberius
    I appreciate you showing me coins that have the same 'reference' as mine. (I missed seeing the one on acsearch because I entered 'Apollonica' and not Apollonia -oops.)
    Thank-you for finding them for me.
    My doubts over the 'correctness' of the attribution include the 'A' being in the right field on my coin but it appears in the left field on the SNG BM Black Sea 190 on acsearch.

    That 'could' be a tree to the left of Apollo, and it 'could' be a bow to the right.
