    Does anyone recognize this As/Dupondius that I have.
    The reverse looks reminiscent of Byzantine, (but that is just a guess).

    Is this a horse and rider, perhaps?

    Looks like a Byzantine follis to me. I can almost make out two figures on the obverse. Could be Heraclius(?)

  6. I'm pretty certain it is a very ill Agrippa & Augustus Dupondius of Gaul, Nemausus.
    The diameter and weight are right. The obverse seems like a match; especially with the valley in the middle between what would be the two busts. I have no idea how to make out the palm or croc on the reverse if this is the type.

    agrippa & augustus dupondius maybe.jpg

    @iamtiberius
    Thank-you. I was hoping that something might 'trigger' a recollection in someone.
    I appreciate the help.
