I think my widget is worth X and you think it is worth Y and we can only exchange it if we come to an agreement. Now multiply this by a sizeable percentage of the world population. I've always referred to as Captain Price. It's the market. Our feelings and our beliefs really don't matter when it comes to the market. That is why as investors we have to keep our emotions out of the decision making process. I think there is a quote that 'the market can remain irrational for longer than you can have any cash left'.
