I really like the krugger, have about 15 1 OZ coins, trying to match life events to the
years, but its been very difficult, cant find even recent ones like the 2019, none
to be found, plenty of early 70,s products though I think thats when they were at
    the hight of there production.

the Hungarian price is very nice, plus low premiums, but looking these as strictly
bullion pieces, so if there is GOLD inside, you can really go anywhere so none
    numismatic.

The krug is definitely gathering steam, I have found that each year of issue the
previous year is tougher to get even in raw form let alone graded.

@mpcusa If you're trying to put together a date set and you've
exhausted the usual sources ie. APMEX, pawn shops and coin
shops then you might try coin shows. Also try some other forums
such as Collectors Universe. Since 1986 when the AGE was introduced,
how do yearly sales figures compare with the other countries such
as Mexico, Canada and South Africa.

the anniversary coin just had my 36Th wedding anniversary so still on the hunt
my LCS has been a resource for a few as they have allot but most are pre 1980.

it for sure will be considered this time around as I already have the 50 peso
which far and away is the most expensive of the bunch, I really like the
aztec calender on the front :)

0k, now for the reasoning behind the purchase, initially I picked out the Hungarian
coin, really liked the 37MM size as it would go well with my 50 Peso coin I just bought which is also 37MM but reconsidering everything, I decided to go with
the K-Rand, why ? first of all most of you know that with any coin purchase you
have to consider cost versus resale, one of the reasons I dont buy graded coins
to often is the premium, but I got this ms 70 example $55 over the B/U price
to me thats a no brainer ! and just go see how many graded Krugers you can
find, next to none ! as the years go by this coin will jump in value as there
is just so many 70,s in population.

And this coin is way more detailed then the B/U versions the etching around
the collar and outside bust are just amazing !

We will play this game again at the end of May o appreciate all your input :)
