As most of you know I am pretty strict when it comes to buying grade bullion the reasoning is pretty simple, the premiums at just to high, it most cases and this particular coin is no exception however when there is hardly any availability out there you have to make a decision, I would like to say I got this for a song buy that would be an understatement, still a really cool coin, not that I will ever make and money off it…LOL
And wholly cow, did you really need a ms70? Talk about jumping the shark. IS its true? If you divide the cost by the number of days you own it....the price of retention comes down.
no I didn’t , I would have preferred a B/U example from a reputable source there we’re a couple with some digs and scratches and bag marks but with the amount I was paying just wanting something in the nice
Of course I did, I don’t think that’s any mystery here, why do you think I dont buy graded coins…LOL But curious on what you think is over paying ?
We just want to know if it Was more or less then 4x the quarter ounce fretboard has in the classifieds?
anything more than an equivalent Gold Buffalo I would like to get a reverse proof gold buffalo though
Not even close to a realistic comparison when you figure the rarity of a Libertad and one that’s a M70 to boot compared to the way less produced Mexican coin.
Some call them bullion but because of the mintage numbers they're way more than bullion! They're rare gold coins, that's why they sell for such big money! I tried to leave the chart but couldn't, 2016 minted only 4,100, 1 ounce gold coins! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertad_(coin)
Nice, it's not like plastic is going to be a finite item. As for the ms70, the next guy you sell it to might care...might not, then you keep looking for the next guy that will. I'm still eyeballing the 1/4 ounce one fretboard has in the classifieds. Shameless plug....if I can shakedown my local poor Indian kids casino for another $100 I may make a run at it again. If anyone is wondering, my local poor Indian kids casino is a running joke with the localls. They tribe hands out checks to the tribal kids each year to the tune of around 16k. That money don't grow on trees...
