Funny how I can't seem to view the 4 sold @ $950 each... Ebay just sits there and wont load the page... I just don't believe anyone actually bought those for that price. Heck you can almost get a 2011 set graded NGC 70 for that price...

lol...from his description: "THE FIRST HOUR 150,000 WERE SOLD"

BTW...these were bought by way of best offer. He could have bought them for $200 but ebay does not disclose this information.

Yeah that is what I am thinking... that link worked but that is not the problem I am having... if you click on the "4 sold" link on the listing it will not load that page showing the actual sales price. Have to wait until they show up in his feedback...

ebay is acting up today. Also, the sale completed via best offer. So you won't know until later what the final price was. Also possible like danr mentioned, that it was for 4 sets at 950 total.

Hence, the word "may". It's either a W mintmark or S mintmark. This set is a SF commemorative, so I guess people are just using logic that the coin will be the S version.

Even if it does have an S proof, it won't be able to have the SF SET label.

Well that sucks a big one....

I've got 5 more on the late shippment which i'll probably keep anyway, but I totally understand where you are coming from here...

It certainly dosen't say it specifically, but the second sentence on the US Mints webpage pretty much wraps it up...

"This 2012 American Eagle Silver Proof Coin not only honors the artistry and design of our Nation’s coins, but also honors the heritage of coin production at the United States Mint at San Francisco. "

If they really want to honor artistry, they could make it an UHR. That however might drain dry any money set aside for the last ATB pucks :p

it contains a $5 note, so you're effectively buying the proof coin for $70, which is a lot steeper than the W, so I cannot see a huge amount of these being sold, but it will definitely push up the mintage, depending on how long this set is sold for. Maybe by another 200k?
