I think the case might as well be closed... that this is 3rd place behind 2011 and 2006. Much of interest has already happened, and will continue to happen months hence.

what is cool about it is that both coins are unique- the "s" may turn out to be the treasure

My hope is that lots of people cancel. Ship date is Oct 31. I think lots won't wait that long, and lots of early orders were hoping for small mintage so they will bail. I am happy with 300k though. I have 2 on order for us, and 2 on order in case the price jumps, although it will be hard to wait until Halloween to get them.

Yeah I hope some people cancel too, although I think my original guess of 333,500 will be high but not to far off... seems like were gonna land above 300,000 for the initial orders at least.
Anyway add 5 more to your totals for me - better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it right? Plus there is always that cancel button~

I don't know what the final mintage number will be. But I decided to get 3 more sets today. Total now 13 (3 sets on the first day, 2 sets on the second week, 5 sets on the fourth week, and 3 more sets today). I'll probably add 2 more sets after 3pm today if the odometer is below 300k.
I may sound a bit showing off and, honestly, I don't understand why I order this many. It's an emotional fight within me between my love for ASE and the opportunity to gain profits in the future. Also, I think the release of the set is a kinda historical and monumental event. If at the end the mintage would be extremely high (>400k) and no future profits will be visible, I could always use them as gifts to my closest friends or family, couldn't I?

I just made my purchase of one set. I flipped a coin to make the decision. Don't expect to make high profits on this set though, I think you might have purchased 12 too many, unless of course they end up as gifts. ;)

Yeah I just made my purchase of one set also. Been on the fence the whole month and just decided to go for it. I didn't flip a coin just went with my gut.lol I don't own the 2006 or 2011 set so it'll be special for me to own it. Since time was up anyway and I change my mind soon, it's back ordered till the end of Oct. so have plenty of time to see how things go after today. But I primarily bought it for myself to hold on to, but would be nice if it held or went up in value.

Only 5,607 sold in the last 24 hours?!?!
The previous 24 hour period shows 27,780.
Do you think the rush is over, or will there be a big push in the last 3 hours?

I think that's the only update for today, wonder if they'll show us the final tomorrow? The mint website is moving fast and smooth, so ......???

Yeah I hope you right. Should be very interesting to see tomorrows update and I don't know how many people mail in their orders anymore but will take longer to see their numbers reflected also plus whatever cancellations occur. Would be nice if it was around 250,000 or lower when all is said and done.

I think that I'll order a couple more sets. I wasn't expecting a mint update on the 4th of July. I was also surprised by yesterday's high number and today's lower number. Are people canceling today?

nowadays. mintage over 150,000 is considered sucks. with bad economic situation, low spot silver price and so many american eagle silver coins around. 320,000,000 as of today. think about it.

I was debating on whether to purchase one of these sets, then decided to wait until the last day to see what the mintage figures were. At over 250k, i think I will pass on this over-priced set. Something tells me they will go down on the secondary market in a few years.

I just ordered one set a few minutes ago. The mint's website was swift so I dont think the final mintage will reach 300k.

I dont really collect ASEs. The only ones I have is the 2011 anniversary set. I was debating but in the end, I thought the mintage is low enough, and that it would look nice on display with my 25th anniversary set. :)

I ordered a set a couple of days ago also for grins and giggles. I consider the 2006 and 2011 sets to be more like the entree and this set to be more like the parsley, but it will be interesting to see what happens.
