Grade Opinions / Newcomb Number on Large Cent.

    So I'm not really a copper guy, but I seem to occasionally pick one up, just a magpie I guess, just would like to label it properly.
    I'm thinking around F15, centers seem stronger than the edges, all comments welcome.

    @longshot .
    Although I've dug several Large Cents, I never paid any attention to Varieties except the 1836 varieties.
    I did some research and this is what I found out: 1838 large cent. | Coin Talk

    Arrrgh!
    The 1838 is one of the dates that drives me crazy.
    There's something on the order of 16 varieties and they are difficult to differentiate.
    I've got one or two that I still haven't ID'ed.
