    Wouldnt really call outperforming being the smallest loss

    Assuming no credit event, true.

    With bonds, you are MATHEMATICALLY GUARANTEED a predetermined investment return (subject to reinvestment of some cash flows which can increase/decrease the initial YTM). That's what makes bonds different.

    For the first time in 15 years, you can get decent/good yields in the bond market with Treasuries, Corporates, and High Yield.

    Eh...that's what we in the financial world do. It's called relative performance. :D

    But seriously...gold's YTD loss is single-digits while the rest have been blasted. Even bonds, a "safe" investment, are having their worst year ever.

    Would be interesting if the rise in rates hadn't happened if the inflation move would have jacked up gold's price. Hmmm.....:wideyed:

    I am holding out hope, for some positive
    change in a couple weeks, I think that
    will determine the future of just about
    every investment vehicle but regardless
    will continue to use my current investment strategy :)

    I know they do that but I still think its stupid lol. Its like someone bragging theyve only lost one house instead of two.
