What is the take away from this (reason for posting). The summery smacks of politics. A big no no around here.

Article I, Section 10, Clause 1:

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

This seems to limit states from producing their own currency , but it doesn't limit the Federal government from producing/ or changing their own requirement . I think it another attempt to try and increase the interest , and thus price by those who buy/sell/ or horde silver. IMO , Jim
