CNBC reported that Costco was selling $200,000,000 of the gold bars each month. Given their clientele and membership, that would clearly explain the lack of buying both ETFs and the lack of sales of AGEs. Let's see if it continues....
They may have sold out on that promotion I head they’re going to be selling silver Not a member myself
I've found recent spot price on various sites don't seem to correlate, and the plus/minus shows positive when the price dips a bit; not sure what's going on there?
silver/gold selling sites may not be 100% on the constant variation of spot. and when spot lowers they may not initially drop hoping to get some windfall (more) profit sales. I tracked this probably 8 years ago for a couple vendors and basically .. if you are in a hurry to buy, you'll still pay a good premium (high than you think). You have to check various vendors for the lowest overall price. Sometimes their prices stick and they probably bought their stock at a high so they may keep their prices high for a bit until sales drop off. My favorite silver eagle vendor is on eBay now. It used to be Provident Metals before they were bought out and pushed their free shipping from $99 to $199 and they have higher premiums now too. You have to find a list of good vendors and see who has the best prices. It may vary dependent upon what you are looking for. I use one vendor for ASEs, another for AGEs, etc. as one offers a better price for that category.
I would think if there selling that much GOLD, why not expand to heavier weights Kilo bars would be nice…LOL
I think Costco members are for sure upper class as long as there getting a good deal I think they would spring for larger sizes.
Walking through my local Costco the other day and I saw 80+ in TV sets @ ~$3k, Refrigerators @ $2k+, a $2,800 bicycle, a $3k couch, a $2k arbor, etc. Many, many ites in the $2-4k range. Sometimes they have the $8-10k massage chairs or jacuzzi tubs for sale too. The Costco in downtown Houston usually has $200/lb Wagyu beef in the freezer - and they generally don't stock anything unless it sells. YMMV
I'll trade you a roll of TP for 1oz gold !! You'll get the better deal as the TP roll will weight more and in times of epidemics may be worth way more and be much more useful.
Looks like the price of gold is catching it's breath, some think it's gonna go down in a drastic manner but I don't think so! It's just in correction mode before the price changes in leaps and bounds!
Beleive it ! there is a difference, the Costco in summerline which is about 20 minutes from me sell $1,000 bottles of wine not such much at mine
