I happened to click over to http://silverprice.org just a bit ago, and saw the moment-by-moment price of gold briefly break $1300/oz. It's been hovering within a dollar since. Silver had a bit of a spike, too. I wonder which overnight (in US terms) market drove this spike, and what news drove that market to move?
Big wild card now that the Fed is by us: Britain's vote next week on whether to leave the European Union. All sorts of analyses on what it could mean--enough to convince me that nobody knows.
Zombie mommy also discussed going full retard. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/yellen-says-helicopter-money-belongs-in-fed-toolkit-2016-06-15
All I can say is that I'm loving it! I liquidated a bunch last week to cover my Long Beach trip, but overall I'm sitting pretty - and looking forward to a long and strong gold run.
And here I'm hoping it'll drop to $8-900 . Looks like I missed out on getting those double eagles I need again .
I was hoping that gold would cool off after China started buying everything in 2010ish. But it hasn't. I was going to buy some 20xASE tubes the other week but decided to hold off until silver went down .. guess I have to wait a few months longer now. That Brexit is going to mess up all the markets even before the vote takes place next week.
Well gold is now in a higher range. Let's hope it holds! Silver still needs a little bit more love, hopefully it will settle above $18.06 by Fridays close. Good luck with that. My advice would be to buy on the next decent dip. Gold and silver have been in a full-on uptrend for months now and that's after a solid 3+ yr downtrend. Uptrends like this simply don't just roll over and die.
Wow, up to $1318 today before the plug got pulled. Back down to 1292 before bouncing. May have something to do with an anti-Brexit MP being murdered this morning, and both sides suspending campaigning in the wake of it.
An excellent government stance based on solid facts by highly educated and qualified individuals... (yawn...) Everyone's afraid to report the truth. The media is blowing sunshine in the darkness.
And God help us when the musical chairs stop. Ever notice how vacant Yelles eyes are. It's like she's in over her head and realizes she's about to drown
