Gold, a reliable store of value for millennia. Stater of the Iceni tribe in Britain, circa 65 BC, so-called Norfolk wolf.
I love world gold and Singapore has some of the most beautiful gold coins ever! Some of their gold coins has like gold dust on it, it's very unique and I've never seen it from other countries at all. The 2nd pic down shows the gold dust effect I'm talking about, it's at the 10 o'clock and 5 o'clock areas on the obverse! It shows on the reverse of the coin as well, in the same areas!
Here's my only Hart's Gold Token, not a high grade or anything but still special to me! I could be wrong but I think it's the last year Hart's made Gold Tokens!
I put a few pieces away and took some pictures of a few in the box. I got everything put back away and went to post up some pictures. The pictures were garbage, so you all will have to wait till I make another drop. Don't hold your breath, people are spending too much money on the things that I like so not much is finding its way to my mailbox.
Picked up this one at a coin show back in June! I prefer bullion to profit on but there's always a place in my collection for pre-33 gold!
Just got back from the casino. Promotional drawings tonight from 6pm to 10pm. Every hour 2 winners of $250 cash and a 1 ounce gold coin. Last drawing was at 10pm for $250 and 5 gold coins. I dont play all that often and try not to leave much money there, so my chances were slimmer then those VIP players. I made enough to play for 4 hours and pay for dinner. My name wasn't called...no real surprise so no pictures I did get a look at one of the coins a guy won. He wasn't sure what it was, the casino valued it at $2500 (hope he doesn't have to pay tax on that) It was a 1980 1 ounce gold krugerrand. I asked what he was going to do with it and he said he was going to keep it. I told him when he gets tired of it I'll give him his $1700 back
Here's one that was delivered to me today! I don't know much about it, it's a ducat showing Maria Theresa, who was royalty in Austria. Guess, I shouldn't have used light to take the pic, too busy for a do over right now! Size is at 3.5 grams of 980 gold which is like 23k and it's 20mm in diameter!
Just picked up the 1983 Kruger today ! working my life event years , this is the year I graduated high school
