Seen this on a blip on 20 things only in Dubai India. http://www.pixte.com/402811/20-things-that-probably-only-happen-in-dubai/
That just seems... Off. Lol. It would be pretty cool if it would work everywhere, but I can't imagine it working well in most places. I did enjoy the video, though.
It would be interesting to know how many of these are in the UAR and where they are placed: near the stock market/financial district, airports? Steve
There was one of these in the Golden Nugget casino in Las Vegas. I bought a small bar from it a few years ago just for kicks, but tax and vat made the premium over spot unrealistic.
The first thing that would happen to one of those machines in my area is that somebody would dynamite it to get the gold.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But ooh, to buy shiny gold from a machine! http://www.cp24.com/news/thieves-sl...-of-guelph-strip-club-drag-atm-away-1.2754228
That company has gold vending machines in many cities. Not necessarily bargain prices though. See the English language version of the website: http://www.gold-to-go.com/en/locations/atm-locations/ Christian
I will check it out next time I'm in Vegas. Maybe I'll do a quick video of me buying gold - and then again at those premiums - probably not!
I buy my precious metals from trusted dealers and my soft drinks from vending machines..........not da other way around.
Chicken... Then again if you do - these days you're paying a larger premium on your soft drinks. Last hotel I was at - a can of coke was $3!
If you do - for giggles, post a video. If that's not appropriate (different culture), at least know what you pay over spot and what you get!
I don't expect or at least am willing to pay anything above 1,5€ over spot /gram. That is what I get here where I live. I'll try to GoPro it.
They should just put the gold into one of these old school vending machines: Can you imagine the frustration of having a 1 oz gold bar hanging like that? Or, better yet, can you imagine stumbling upon the machine with a 1 oz gold bar hanging like that?
