Here,s what i,am looking at on the bay, current price of Rhodium is $1,155.00
Per OZ, here,s a bar that i like and the $1,199.00 price is actually not that bad
$44.00 over spot, so it,s in line or better then most spreads :)

So if I was seriously considering investing in rhodium the first thing I'd do is do some indepth research to find out what drove that spike and what the chances were of the happening again.
It seems a bit odd that is was around the same time as the Great Recession.
But personally I think you'd have better luck in investing in pork bellies.

Look at the warning on the package "Damaged packaging invalidates guarantee". What the heck. So you remove the metal and test it, and it turns out to be lead, but your guarantee is void because you removed it from its package!!

Why would you remove it from the factory sealed assay ? and why would they
guarantee it if you did ? would you guarantee with something that has been
    Tampered with ? i doubt it !

It,s factory sealed for a reason, they dont want people messing with it !!

If I had an XRF tester on-hand, and if I had high confidence that it would read through the packaging, I might consider that a guarantee.

Otherwise: "I'll sell you this sealed, opaque box for $1350. I guarantee that it contains a 1-ounce .9999 fine gold bar. But if you open the box, that guarantee is void."

I detect a little sarcasm there, absolutely not the same thing, your jeffB
There Baird of London, thinking they would purposely sell fake PM is
    ridiculous !

Gold is often baffling enough for me. I'll leave rhodium to you.

For me at least diversification is a must, i dont like concentrating on just one thing
If it goes south you have nothing else to fall back on :(

Before I would buy, it would need to be something like a fractional Coin (1/10-1oz). at near spot, with a design that's both attractive, and unique to the piece.
Meet that criteria, and I'm a buyer. :greedy::greedy::greedy:

When it comes to Rhodium, your choices are few, stilwater makes a small coin,
Better variety in bars if you think 3 choices are good...LOL

Or - they just SAY they are from Baird of London. You can get 'silver' Morgans (almost direct) from China, so why not rhodium bars from the same source - yet they are clearly marked as being from Baird of London.

Run for cover. Anything that has that volatility isn't for the average collector or stacker in my opinion.
