You said you would do the exact same thing, you hypocrite.

I have stated that they are too expensive for what they are for me to justify sticking with them. Who am I to say the same for everyone else who collects US coins? What is the issue in catering to them and delivering to them the coins they want at the price they want to pay, and make a little money on the side? If you have a problem with that, then go attack every dealer who deals in coins that they have no collecting interest in. See how they respond. See if they ever invite you back. Or are you just attacking me because it gives you a cowardly ego boost due to the anonymity of the internet? The more you spew, the more I think it is the latter.

If you read that thread, I asked the question to confirm that was not the thing to do. Plus it has nothing to do with attacking dealers for selling coins which they have no collecting inerest in.

As I said in that other thread, I would flip to make a profit too. BUT, I haven't sworn off U.S. Coins like you claim to have.

 

This started off to be a really cool thread about a nice coin. Now it's not worth the time to read.

I’m baffled as to why Typecoin’s collecting interests bother others so much. I get it, I read the thread where he said he was done with US coins, and it caused some members to melt down ( for some illogical reason..)
He changed his mind. Big deal, get over it. I change my mind about all sorts of things on a daily basis.

 

I think it’s a nice looking coin in the VF range. Details possible, but I am overly cautious with the older stuff and struggle to ID old cleanings vs wear. I’m curious, you mentioned that you had it graded. What did it get?

fwiw, i don't like the look of this coin - ms. liberty looks sorta polished, not just showing wear. just a matter of taste, but i would be looking for a coin with more eye-appeal for this hole in my u.s. coin typeset.

VF Details. Altered surfaces

I don’t see the altered surfaces. It looks original to me and just about everone else. But because of the holder this coin is worthless compared to what it should be worth. This is what I hate about the US coin market. The holder is the final say, even if it is wrong.

If people stop answering posts they do not like , it will die. Its like grade school, little boys start talking smack, then pushing each others, the young ladies in the audience start urging them on, the final put down arguments, someone asks for mods to remove the thread ( doesn't happen very often, the remarks are there for members to comment on for years) , and then if it doesn't end they go away on a vacation or a new school. I would choose to stop now if I was in this thread. Jim

 

I’d give it one more try. Submit it to a different grading company. If it doesn’t straight grade there either, then chalk it up to “you win some you lose some”. If it does then let us know and post pics...
