The Key Date Race!! :hail: Heck!...why wait? As it currently stands, the Mint has new product releases projected through February 23rd, 2012...and there's no mention of the 2012 Silver Proof sets. Since the earliest they could come out is a week after that, I'm using nine (9) weeks of further 2011 Silver Proof set sales as a benchmark (it could be longer...it could be shorter, but I doubt it). There's also a strong likelihood that the prices for silver products will come down in 2012 due to the steep drop in silver prices. The 2011 products would either have to be similarly reduced in price or go off-sale when the 2012 products are released. So, with all that said, "if" today's sales figures for the 2010 Silver Proof sets were the final sales numbers (I know their not, but they're close...we can revise as we go along) and there are nine (9) weeks remaining for sales of the 2011 Silver Proof sets (again, just a guess), the average weekly sales would have to be 5,088 per week to beat the 2010 sales numbers. We're hovering right around that number now! The question is... Will the sales of the 2011 Silver Proof sets increase now that there's only one (1) product vying for the attention of the Coin Collecting Community? or...
