This may be off topic, but am I the only one who remembers when Honey Comb cereal included an actual flake of gold in their boxes in the 1960s? Amazing, I don't remember how many carats the flake was.

My local dealer offered a bunch of the 1gm (bars?), and I bought a bunch. They're waiting in my SDB.

BTW, I found another company offering up to 10 1/10 oz eagles @ 1650 plus shipping with CC. I'm all out of fresh powder, buying too much currency lately...

I have some tenth and quarter ounce gold eagles I bought a few years ago. Glad I did.

Real US fractional coins can be pricey for the gold weight they are. There are a ton of fake fractional gold coins out there. I read the later fractional coins were underweighted for thier value marked.
I started small, I first got a 5 Kronor from Sweden ($142.) and a 10 Kroner from Denmark ($14.50 the person didn't know what they had). I then put a $501. bid in on a 20 Kronor- my wife was thrilled when I lost it in the last 4 seconds. Now I want to start moving up the the $300.-$500. range coins, I been trying to only buy when there is extra Overtime or tax time so not to hurt the frail home budget. I been buying them to leave my kid them when I pass, hopefully he will think they are as neat as I do. I could be wrong but I thought the smaller Pesos were lesser quality gold, maybe someone can clear that up. I don't think of melt value when I buy these but numistic value and the fact that a 100+ year old coin still can look great I think is amazing. Anyway you should be able to pick up early 1900 10 kroner's cheap(250.-285.) I stay away from coins from Austria since they restrike everything unless you get a deal just for the gold weight. I hope that I can slowly move up to the bigger stuff but would look for graded and slabbed coins if I am gonna dish out the big money. Good luck with your collection and email me if you need more info.

Also, watch for fakes such as these two in the picture. I purchased them knowing they were fake and didn't pay much but in a photo they look very accurate so if you are buying on line be careful. This was another reason why I felt safe with small coins from places other than US coins.
